Registering Your Address at the Dong Office (전입신고)
Estimated time: 30 min read
After moving into a new residence in Korea, you must register your address (전입신고) at the nearest Dong (동) Community Service Center (주민센터) within 14 days. This address is used for all government correspondence, health insurance, and public services. Bring your passport, ARC, and lease contract (or landlord's consent). You can also complete this process online via the Government24 portal (www.gov.kr) if you have a Korean-compatible certificate or ID card. Failure to register can affect your ability to receive public services at your actual address.
